Founder and president of Chocolate city Group Mr. Audu Maikori was arrested on Friday 17th February 2016 after he was alerged to have been involved in Criminal consipiracy. His lawyer Mr. Jacob stated that his detention order was already signed before his statement was taken and Mr. Audu was arrested in Lagos and have been moved to Abuja.
Audu Maikori is from southern Kaduna and has been vocal on the southeren kaduna killing saga. He is alerged to have misled the public by tweeting a fulse account of an incident that never occured.
CEO of Chocolate city music and pioneer Artist of the label M.I Abag alongside Banky W, Donjazzy, Ice Prince to name a few have all posted messages to opposed the actions of Federal Government with the hash tag #freeaudu #freeaudumaikori.
Audu Maikori has contributed so much to the development of the Music industry in Nigeria and by so doing he has launched a lot of careers, many people look up to him as a mentor and he is associated with top brands across the African continent, and for all these reasons I smell a lawsuit brewing somewhere around the corner.
