Veteran actor Kanayo O Kanayo’s recent post on having a successful nasal surgery, attracted a lot of attention as the Nollywood star was recently given the chance to live his life long dream as a fully-fledged lawyer. His post on a successful surgery gave Nigerians a chance to congratulate him on attaining the call to the Nigerian bar.
It was a bit shocking to fans that veteran actor had acquired such a feet but the doors of celebration opened after Kanayo posted a picture of himself in the traditional robe and wig attire saying “To God be the glory. You can now address me as Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, esq, MFR (Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria)”. This was posted on Tuesday the 15th of September and marked the moment the little boys dream would be a reality.
In an Interview with Saturday Beats, The Nollywood star said “I give God the glory that I embarked on my lifelong dream some years ago and I have been able to fulfill it. Many people were surprised that with my age and popularity, I was able to sit-down in the classroom and was among those who were successful.” Kanayo also went on to discuss how he has been practicing law as an actor.
He said “what I have been doing on TV over the years is what a lawyer does in court. To be a voice for the voiceless.” Kanayo alleged that the make-belief world is an avenue to teach the public about corrupt practices and individuals.
After studying Law in 1994 at the University of Ibadan, Anayo Modestus Onyekwere does not intend to sit at home but to live out his dreams and leave no room for regrets.
