Nigerians have been anxious to see the national team make its debut on FIFA 21. Sadly, the game will not be featuring the national team for selection. However, there is still a lot to celebrate as songs by Nigerian artists will be featured on the video game’s private sound track. That’s right, Nigerian artists Fire boy, Rema, Santan Dave and Burna boy made the exclusive list consisting of 100 musicians from 23 countries respectively.

Following Fire boy’s song ‘Champion’ being used by German football club Bayern Munich, he has become the first Nigeria-based artist to make the game’s main track list. His single, ‘scatter’ was chosen to join other distinguished artists on the list of songs to be featured. Scatter has already accumulated over 30 million streams across all streaming platforms.

Santan David is another Nigerian who made the main list all the way from the UK with his song ‘Location’ featuring fellow African and Grammy nominated superstar Burna Boy. Others include, Rema who was able to make the Volta list which makes his song ‘Beamer’ accessible in volta mode on FIFA 21.

Gaming fans cannot wait for the games release on the 6th of October 2020. 50 of the distinguished artists will be coming out together on October 1st to celebrate the upcoming launch of the game on their respective channels. Nigerians are making moves and getting their voices heard.
