September 29th is a day branded with celebrating a long list of stars from all over the world. In Nigeria, we celebrate veteran actress Joke Silva who clocked her 59th birthday today. Aunty J is a producer, director and co-founder of Lufodo Academy of Performing Arts. A preforming art school and production company.
She is married to fellow veteran actor Olu Jacobs with whom she has two sons . The Nollywood power couple are seen as entertainment royalty with their numerous awards. Some of which include, Best actor and actress in a leading role respectively. The couple can also boast of being distinguished holders of the Member of Federal Republic(MFR) award.
Mummy J took to her Instagram page to say “59 and grateful for Family and Friends… for what lies ahead…most of all… for the steadfast Love for the Lord”. Among her birthday wishes, was a special video from Teniola Apata also known as Teni. The Nigerian artiste sang a short remix of her single “case” by including the lyrics “For your case E o nananana Joke baby” before wishing her a wonderful birthday.
The African icon led the Covid-19 response team put together for the Arts and Tourism sector by the federal government and was recently made the President of the Forum of Women in Film &Tv in Africa; representing the Nigerian sector. It’s no surprise that Mummy J is a role model to many young women out there with her unquestionable impact in the entertainment industry.
