The year 2020 has marked the end of celebrity marriages. From Kanye and Kim to Cardi B and Off-set and now Nollywood has its own drama to serve the public. Cha Cha Eke is done with husband Austin Faani.
Charity Eke also known as Cha Cha Eke Faani is a Nigerian actress that is popularly known for her role in “The End is Near” released back in 2012. A year later she got married to Austin Faani and had 3 adorable children for him. The seven years of their marriage have made them couple goals and an inspiration to her fans. However, the fairytale came to an end today when Cha Cha took to her Instagram page to post a video of herself announcing the end of her marriage with Austin.
The actress said “This video is to let the world know that I’m done with the marriage. I don’t have a lot to prove that I’m done with him but I’m done. I’m done. I’m leaving with my life, finally. I can’t say a lot now but you’ll hear my story.” Fans were left to ponder on the cause of such a break up for hours until word got out that Austin is guilty of domestic violence. Based on a post by Gistlovers.blog, Cha Cha was rushed to the hospital a few minutes after her announcement. she told Solo Amaco and Ernest Obi that Austin had been physically abusing her as the three of them were in an ambulance.
Fans had a lot to say about it. @lindabrella__ said “If she’s ending the marriage coz of domestic violence then it’s worth it. Let her take a walk,she already lost herself in the marriage. This isn’t the Chacha Eke I watched while growing up”.
No one says marriage is easy but violence enacted on your spouse is never the solution.
