Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau also known as Kaffy , has been breaking boundaries in the dance industry for more than a decade. She holds the Guinness world record for longest dance party ever hosted. The fitness coach has since been a pioneer of the dance industry and has brought her love for dance to the world.
On Tuesday, the 10th of November, Kaffy was awarded with an Honorary Doctorate to recognize her as a pioneer in the business of dance in Africa. She received the award in Escae Benin University.
The dance instructor dedicated her awards to everyone who ever dared to dream. Kaffy wrote ” I dedicate this award to every dancer, Make-up Artiste, Barber, Cobler, Generator boy, painter ,Tailor , plumber , graphics artiste , cameramen, journalist , and everyone that can dare to dream.”
Kaffy inspires a culture of giving back. She used her Instagram page to host aerobic classes online during lockdown caused by the Covi-19 pandemic. Her company Imagneto Dance company, follows the same mandate.
