Bobi presented a speech on Friday the 15th of January, rejecting the Election results announced by the Ugandan government. The real results are said to be announced in the coming days.
Bobi Wine’s efforts have been recognized by the Nigerian twitter users as admirable. It forced them to ask the question, “Who is our Bobi Wine?”. The name Desmond Eliot popped out of thin air. Popular actor, Desmond Elliot is also an entertainer who became a politician. However, Nigerian youths do not see merit in Elliot’s work at the Lagos state house of assembly.
Twitter users compared Bobi Wine and Desmond Elliot and only had insults for the latter.
Following the EndSars protests back in October, the Nigerian Youth are crying out for a “Bobi Wine” figure head. Unfortunately history dictates that ones life is constantly under threat when you are the leader of a rebellion. Figures like Kin-Saro Wiwa are a testimony to that fact.
