Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu also known as Burna Boy, is hitting the international scene yet again. His song Destiny was included in the playlist set to launch the inauguration of US President Joe Biden.
The incoming President will be inaugurated on Wednesday, the 20th of January. The playlist is said to have been compiled by President Joe Biden and his Vice president-elect, Kamala Harris.
According to online sources, A member of the Biden-Harris team indicated that “the playlist “represents the diversity of our nation and our strength and resilience as we look forward to new leadership and a new era in America.”
Destiny was part of Burna Boy’s Grammy Nominated Album, African Giant. The Album was released back in 2019. The African, music heavyweight would be sharing the playlist with big names like: Beyoncé‘s “Find Your Way Back“, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige‘s “Now Or Never among others.
Oluwa Burna receives this honor after recently collaborating with Australian singer “Sia”. The two released a the official video for Sia’s song “Hey Boy” on the 14th of January. Burna featured on the song and obviously added his flavor.
Burna Boy fans can only anticipate what the African giant has for them in 2021.
