It’s no suprise to nigerians that the country’s state of affairs has not been encourageable. The coversation is always drawn towards one question. This question is “Who is to blame”? Popular artist and political activist, Seun Kuti belives the Nigerian citizens are the instegators of their down fall.

The afro beats specialist spoke extensively about the issue on Sunday, the 27th of June on the Rubin Minds show with Ebuka. According to Seun, “we as Motherland people, we need to shed the spirit of the oppressor. It is not a very easy thing to do because it takes a lot of self-reflection and some people end with self-doubt and they don’t want to linger there. Because it takes a lot of energy to power through that doubt to get to clarity. We are all educated by our oppressors.”

This is not the first time the popular artist has exercised his freedom of speech. He recently bashed the Nigerian music industry on the fact that only 4 Nigerians have been nominated for the grammys. The free spirited nature is a clear replica of his late father. The legendary Fela Anikolapo Kuti. Prostest seems to be the family’s second nature.

We pose this question to our lovely readers. “Who is to blame for Nigeria’s woes”?
