Early Life

Chigozie Stephanie Alichi, popularly known as Chizzy Alichi, was born on December 23, 1983. She hails from Ezza Nkwubor Nike in Enugu East, Enugu State, in the southeastern region of Nigeria. She is the youngest of three siblings and has always remained close to her family. In 2017, she received public admiration after building a home for her parents.

Chizzy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from Enugu State University of Science and Technology. She resides in Asaba, Delta State. In December 2019, she married Chike Ugochukwu Mbah in a well-attended ceremony that featured many notable figures in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

Career

Chizzy Alichi entered Nollywood in 2010, taking a chance on her passion for acting. She joined the Actors Guild of Nigeria and soon landed her first role in the movie Magic Money, starring alongside Mercy Johnson and Bob-Manuel Udokwu.

Her major breakthrough came in 2016 with the film Akaraoku, directed by Yul Edochie. The film gained significant attention after a poster showing her in character went viral, sparking curiosity and appreciation for her performance. Many assumed she was an actual street vendor, a testament to her convincing portrayal.

Since then, she has featured in a wide range of Nollywood productions and continues to build her reputation as one of Nigeria’s beloved film stars.
