Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, also known as Bella Shumurda, has been very active on twitter recently. The young artist has not been very taken by the spirit of the Easter holiday.
On Sunday, the 4th of April, Shmurda took to his twitter page to criticize the colonial roots of Nigeria’s religiou
practices. According to him practicing Christianity and Islam is a clear sign of colonialism.
He asked ” Why Easter Sunday Why are we not practicing Our religion? Later you go say Wan person be gay or lesbian Ur father for church nko? How him Dey take ease him Sexual urge ? Ahi him no be Human being nii?”
His controversial comments sparked a line of comments against the young artists remarks.
It clear he did not think this through. Religion is always a touchy subject.
