Early Life
Sandra Achums was born in Imo State, located in southeastern Nigeria. She was born 19 November 1967, Though born in the East, she spent most of her early life in Lagos, where she completed her primary, secondary, and tertiary education. She attended State College in Isolo, Lagos, where she nurtured her early passion for the arts.
Career
Sandra Achums entered the Nigerian film industry in 1995 with her breakout role in Deadly Affair, acting alongside established names such as Dolly Unachukwu, Jide Kosoko, and Emeka Ike. The film not only became a classic but also launched her into stardom.
She continued to appear in numerous popular films throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, including a notable role in the remake of Glamour Girls. Her performances consistently showcased depth, elegance, and emotional range, making her a household name in Nigerian cinema.
In 2006, Sandra Achums relocated to Germany, where she now lives with her husband, Tony, and their children. She gave birth to a son named Ryan and has a daughter as well. Celebrating her son’s birth, she expressed her joy with the words, “Welcome little baby Ryan to the world.” Today, she enjoys life with her family while maintaining her legacy as one of Nollywoodโs beloved icons.
