Early Life
Timini Egbuson was born in Bayelsa State, located in Nigeria’s south-south region. He is the younger brother of renowned actress Dakore Akande.
He attended several primary schools including Greenspring Montessori, The Afro School, and St. Catherine’s, and completed his secondary education at Adebayo Mokuolu College in Lagos. He also went on to study Psychology at the University of Lagos and graduated in 2011.
Career
Timini Egbuson began his acting career in 2010 with a role on M-Net’s popular soap opera Tinsel. His performance quickly earned him attention, paving the way for more roles in film and television.
Furthermore, In 2020, he won the Best Actor in a Drama at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) for his lead role in Elevator Baby, solidifying his place among Nollywood’s top talents.
Beyond acting, Timini has also contributed to social impact projects. In April 2020, he joined a group of actors from Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, and the Ivory Coast in a COVID-19 awareness campaign. They collaborated on a 60-part mini-series of MTV Shuga, aimed at educating the public and helping curb the spread of the virus across Africa.
