Early Life

Tobi Bakre comes from Ogun State, Nigeria, and grew up in a family of four children. He is the second son of Chief Olufemi Bakre, the Otunba Bobaselu of Awa-Ijebu Kingdom in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State. Chief Olufemi also serves as the Managing Director and CEO of Parallex Bank.
Tobi’s older brother, Femi Bakre, leads Kraks TV as CEO, and he has two sisters.

He studied Banking and Finance at the University of Lagos, where he graduated with a Second Class Upper Division—just like his father, who also attended the same university and studied the same course.

Career And Achievements

Tobi Bakre began his professional journey in the financial sector. He worked at the office of the Accountant General of the Federation and spent four years in the banking industry. In 2018, he entered the Big Brother Naija house and finished as a finalist, launching his career in entertainment.

Since then, Tobi has worked as a brand ambassador for major companies including Unilever, Amstel Malta, and Jumia, representing them within and outside Nigeria.

Tobi is married to Anu Oladosu. Together, they have two children—a boy and a girl. They welcomed their second child on 19 September 2023.
