Nigerian controversial street pop musician Portable has opened up about his plans to return to school, emphasizing that education is essential to his growth as both an artist and an individual. Speaking candidly in a recent video, the singer explained that he intends to complete his studies to better manage his music career and balance fame with professionalism.

Portable, who previously earned an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from Kwara State Polytechnic, revealed that he never collected his certificate after completing the program. Now, with greater success in the music industry, he believes it is the right time to return to school and further his education.
According to the singer, education remains a vital part of self-development, regardless of fame or financial success. He stated that he wants to set a positive example for his children and those he sponsors, ensuring they understand the value of learning. “I don’t want my children to be mocked that their father is an illiterate,” he explained.
Portable added that returning to school will help him communicate and manage his career more effectively, especially in business dealings and collaborations within the entertainment industry. He emphasized that professionalism is as important as talent in sustaining long-term success.
Portable’s decision to pursue further education highlights the importance of continuous self-improvement and responsibility, even for public figures.
