Early Life
Peace Emmanuel Aderogba Oredope, popularly known as P.Priime or Big P, was born on March 28, 2002, in Lagos State, Nigeria. Raised in a musically gifted family of choristers, he began playing drums at age 4 and mastered the piano by age 8. Over the years, he also picked up the saxophone and guitar, building a solid foundation in instrumentation.
He attended Nuga Paul High School in Ejigbo, Lagos, and later enrolled in a summer music program at the Musical Society of Nigeria Centre, where he expanded his knowledge in sound and composition.
Career
P.Priime carved out his signature in the music industry through his recognizable tags “P” and “Giddem,” heard at the start or end of his tracks. He gained wide acclaim for producing Anoti on Wizkid’s Grammy-nominated album Made in Lagos, as well as three standout tracks on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack—Anya Mmiri by CKay and PinkPantheress, Alone by Burna Boy, and Coming Back For You by Fireboy DML.
He has produced major hits including Ozumba Mbadiwe by Reekado Banks, Bandana by Fireboy DML and Asake, Electricity by Davido and Pheelz, and Loading by Olamide featuring Bad Boy Timz.
P.Priime co-produced Wizkid’s Made in Lagos: Deluxe Edition, Aá¹£a’s V album, and handled 7 out of 10 songs on Olamide’s Carpe Diem. As a 2018 Sarz Academy alumnus, he won Producer of the Year at the AFRIMMA Awards in 2021. In 2022, YouTube recognized him in its Black Voices Songwriter/Producer Class.
Outside of music, he explores fashion and walked the runway for Elfreda Kahlo during Lagos Fashion Week 2021.
