Early Life

Temitayo Ibitoye, professionally known as Tee-Y Mix, was born on August 22, 1983, in Oyo State, Nigeria, and hails from Ondo State.

He spent his formative years between Kaduna and Abuja, later earning a degree in Computer Science from the University of Abuja.

Driven by his passion for music production, he obtained a diploma in Audio Recording Engineering from the Audio Institute of America.

Career

Tee-Y Mix gained national attention after producing Naeto C’s breakout hit “Kini Big Deal”, which led to a Headies nomination for Producer of the Year in 2009.

He also played multiple roles—A&R executive, sound engineer, and lead producer—on Naeto C’s debut album U Know My “P”.

After parting ways with Storm 360, Tee-Y Mix launched Vivace Records in 2014 and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer.

Over the years, he has engineered and mixed hit songs like Davido’s “Gobe,” “Aye,” and “Skelewu”, D’Banj’s “Don’t Tell Me Nonsense”, Dr SID’s “Surulere”, and Praiz’s “Mercy.”

Furthermore, He became a household name as a judge on Project Fame West Africa from 2008 to 2016, known for his compassionate and insightful critiques.

In 2020, he joined Access the Stars as a judge, and in 2023, Dapper Group appointed him Vice President.

Tee-Y Mix also stepped into the spotlight as an artist, releasing his debut single “Closer” featuring Oxlade and Moelogo in January 2022.
