Relationship therapist Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has voiced her frustration over the arrest of her partner, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, also known as IVD. Officers from the Lagos State Police Command reportedly detained IVD at the airport while he was en route to Qatar.
The arrest allegedly relates to a 2022 domestic violence case involving the tragic death of his wife, Bimbo. However, Blessing insists the situation has escalated into what she calls targeted bullying.
She expressed her anger, stating that IVD has become a scapegoat. “They are pushing me so hard,” she said. “I will drop this love and come out with my full garment. They are bullying IVD, and it’s getting out of hand. IVD is innocent.”
Blessing questioned the legitimacy of the arrest, pointing out that no official travel ban existed. According to her, IVD had no reason to hide his travel plans if he were under restriction. She added that his passport had only recently been reissued after being missing for two years, and no court had revoked it.
She also criticized the lack of formal charges or a valid case file, demanding transparency from the authorities. “Why hold him without clear charges?” she asked.
Blessing stressed that she will no longer stay silent as her partner faces what she describes as repeated harassment. “These people are using my man, and I won’t tolerate it anymore,” she said.
