Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has addressed recent claims that she deliberately sabotages other female artists in the industry. The award-winning singer made it clear that she has never blocked any artist’s opportunities and challenged anyone making such allegations to come forward with proof.

Tiwa Savage, one of Nigeria’s most successful female artists, shared her thoughts during a recent episode of the Offair Show. She explained that she often hears rumors suggesting she prevents other women from getting booked for shows but strongly denied the claims. According to her, some event organizers might be using her name as an excuse to avoid booking multiple female performers.

“If you’ve heard from anybody that I tried to block your bag, mention names. Maybe the promoters are lying and using me, maybe they don’t want to book three, four girls. So, they claim I am the one blocking others,” Tiwa Savage said during the interview.

This isn’t the first time the singer has faced such accusations. In 2019, Kenyan artist Victoria Kimani accused Tiwa Savage of indirectly limiting her chances to perform at major events. Although Tiwa Savage never addressed those claims in detail at the time, her recent statement seems to clarify her stance.

The singer, who has built an impressive career with hits like “All Over,” “Somebody’s Son,” and “49-99,” has been vocal about the challenges women face in the music industry. She has often advocated for female artists to support each other rather than compete unnecessarily.

Tiwa Savage remains one of the most influential figures in Afrobeats. As conversations around fairness and opportunities for women in the industry continue, her response highlights the need for more transparency between artists and event promoters.
