Nollywood actress Evan Okoro has publicly released her medical test results to debunk viral allegations claiming she is living with HIV. The actress underwent screening at Asaba Scan Centre in Delta State after her name appeared on a leaked list of allegedly infected individuals.

The controversy began after a document surfaced online. The list allegedly identified several Nollywood figures as having serious health conditions. It was reportedly linked to private conversations involving fellow actress Ekene Umenwa and a UK-based nurse. However, no verified transcript of the alleged conversation has been made public.

The development came hours after Okoro called out Umenwa for allegedly gossiping about her and other Nollywood stars. In an emotional social media video, she expressed shock and distress over seeing her name on the list.

“E get something wey I see for social media right now. My name dey for one list; dem talk say Evan Okoro carry one thing for body wey dey heavy people for mouth to talk.”

She questioned her colleague directly.

“Ekene Umenwa, you add me for your list? Is that what you said, or the devil just wants to use una bring me down? I defended you ooo.”

Determined to clear her name, Okoro documented the entire testing process, from payment to the blood draw.

“I am here to run HIV test. I want you guys to see every of the process. I can’t sleep ooo, they said I carried HIV.”

The result confirmed she is HIV negative. She later revealed that the allegations took an emotional toll on her family, especially her mother.

As of the time of this report, Ekene Umenwa has not issued an official public statement addressing the allegations.
