Chance the Rapper has officially won his long-running legal dispute with former manager Pat Corcoran, bringing a four-year courtroom battle to an end.

A judge dismissed the remaining claims in the case this week. The ruling clears the Chicago artist of all major allegations, including breach of contract and unpaid commissions. Corcoran had originally sought more than $3 million in damages after their split in May 2020.

The dispute began after the release of Chance’s 2019 debut album, The Big Day. Corcoran argued that the project underperformed and harmed his reputation. He also claimed the rapper ignored key advice about the album’s rollout and creative direction.

However, Chance pushed back strongly. He filed a countersuit accusing Corcoran of breach of fiduciary duty and self-dealing. According to the rapper, his former manager used the brand to promote personal business ventures without approval. He also alleged professional mismanagement during a critical period in his career.

The court ultimately sided with Chance. The dismissal of all remaining claims means he no longer faces any financial liability tied to the case.

The pair had worked together for nearly a decade. During that time, Chance built a successful independent career and won three Grammy Awards for his 2016 mixtape, Coloring Book.

With the case now closed, Chance the Rapper can fully focus on his next chapter. The rapper is currently preparing to release a new project titled Star Line. Neither Chance nor Corcoran has publicly commented on the final ruling.
