Seyifunmi Michael, professionally known as SeyiKeyz, is a Nigerian music director, producer, and entrepreneur recognised for his contributions to live performance arrangement within Nigeria’s contemporary Afrobeats scene.

Born Bakare Michael on September 24, 1989, SeyiKeyz began his musical journey in church choirs and youth bands, where he developed foundational skills in keyboard arrangement and live orchestration that would later define his production career.

He started his professional career in 2015 as a producer under YBNL, the label founded by Olamide, contributing to the technical and arrangement side of some of the imprint’s releases during a formative period for the Nigerian street-hop and Afropop movement.

SeyiKeyz went on to establish a reputation as one of the industry’s dependable music directors, known for shaping live sound and performance arrangement, a role distinct from beat production but equally central to how Afrobeats records translate to the stage.

Beyond music, SeyiKeyz has expanded into entrepreneurship as the founder of the Lagos-based restaurant brand Three Kings Burger, reflecting a career that spans both creative production work and business ventures outside the studio.
