Nigerian actress Jinad Habibat Adunni, also known as Realomojinad, has called on Nollywood industry leaders to offer more support to emerging actors and actresses.
In a recent Instagram post, she highlighted the significance of encouraging new talent in the film industry.
She shared a personal story about a friend who struggled to find a suitable actor for a key role in a movie due to the unavailability of established stars. “Supporting new talent in the film industry can go a long way.
Honestly, getting your favorite actors for a project can be challenging,” she explained. “A friend of mine is producing a movie and has been searching for someone to play a significant role with 30 scenes.
However, many actors are either already booked or currently outside Nigeria.”
Realomojinad urged her fellow actors to open up opportunities for rising stars, suggesting that discovering and nurturing new talent could lead to finding the next big star in Nollywood. “Let’s encourage and celebrate new faces in the industry! Who knows, we might just discover the next big star.
In a passionate appeal, she added, “For the love of God, let’s support new talent.”
She’s encouraging industry professionals to invest in the future of the film industry by embracing fresh faces and new talent.
