Apple Music has unveiled its “Africa Now: Best Songs of 2025” list, celebrating the year’s most influential African tracks. The platform highlights Afrobeats’ growing global presence with a lineup that blends star power and fresh talent.
Burna Boy claims the Number 1 spot with his hit single Love. The track reinforces his position as one of Afrobeats’ strongest global leaders.
The list features the Nigerian “Big Three”: Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy. It also shines a light on rising stars such as Asake, Rema, Seyi Vibez, and FOLA. Their presence shows how young artists continue to push Afrobeats in new directions.
Asake dominates the rankings with several entries. His solo track Why Love takes Number 2. He also appears on Wizkid’s Bad Girl at Number 9 and on 99 at Number 10.
Davido also secures two major spots. His song With You featuring Omah Lay ranks at Number 3. Funds, which features Odumodublvck and Chike, lands at Number 8.
Rema holds the Number 4 position with Baby (Is It A Crime). Seyi Vibez shows strong consistency with two entries. His song Mario Kart sits at Number 7, and he also features on 99.
Emerging artist FOLA makes a bold impression with two tracks. Lost featuring Kizz Daniel ranks at Number 5. His collaboration with BNXN, titled Very Soon, sits at Number 6.
This year’s list reflects Afrobeats’ depth and global pull. Established icons and emerging creators continue to influence the sound of African music in 2025.
