Early Life
Frank Ugochukwu Edwards, born on 22 July 1989, grew up in a family of seven in Enugu State, Nigeria. As a child, he began singing at the age of 10 and quickly picked up the piano under his father’s guidance. During his teenage years, Frank embraced Christianity and devoted his musical journey to gospel. This spiritual shift deeply influenced his sound and also his message, laying the foundation for a successful career in gospel music.
Career
Frank Edwards started his career as a talented producer and multi-instrumentalist, best known for his work as a keyboardist and for his affiliation with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s Presidential band. He also launched his debut album The Definition in 2008, followed by Angels on the Runway (2010), Unlimited (2011), and Tagjam (2011). Known for his high-pitched vocals and versatile production style, Frank seamlessly blends worship, contemporary gospel, and Afrobeat rhythms.
He also founded Rocktown Records, which nurtures several emerging artists including Gil Joe, King BAS, Nkay, Divine, and others.
In 2016, he teamed up with international gospel legend Don Moen for the Grace album and followed up with Frankincense. In 2018, Frank released Spiritual Music Season, featuring songs like “Miyeruwe,” “You Are Good,” and “Praise Your Name.” That same year, he collaborated with gospel stars Nathaniel Bassey and Jeanine Zoe, expanding his influence across the Christian music landscape.
