Jeremiah Chukwuebuka Ani, better known as Jeriq, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter. Born on May 6, 1999, in Nkpor, Anambra, Jeriq blends his Igbo heritage with contemporary rap. His career began in 2015 with his debut single “Iyoo.” However, it was his 2020 EP Hood Boy Dream that put him on the map. This success led to his signing with KOD Music Group and the release of his debut album Billion Dollar Dream in 2022.

Jeriq is the first of five children in his family. He grew up in Nkpor and later moved to Enugu. He attended the College of the Immaculate Conception for his secondary education. Later that year, his song “Nyem Ego” with Blaqbonez made it to Rolling Stone’s list of the 40 Best Afropop Songs of 2023. These achievements solidified his place in the global music scene.
