Early Life

Keshinro Ololade, popularly known as Lil Kesh, was born on March 7, 1999, and raised in Bariga, Lagos State. He attended Stockbridge College for both his primary and secondary education.
He later studied Linguistics at the University of Lagos and continued his education in Mass Communication at the National Open University through online learning.

Career

Lil Kesh began rapping in 2012, entertaining friends and peers in Bariga. His first single, Lyrically, quickly spread across university campuses, sparking buzz in the underground scene. His major breakthrough came in 2014 with the release of Shoki, a viral hit that dominated charts and airwaves nationwide. The track earned him widespread acclaim and multiple award nominations.

He signed with YBNL Nation, the record label founded by Olamide, and released a stream of successful singles like Efejoku, Gbese, and Is It Because I Love You. In 2016, Lil Kesh released his debut album Young And Getting It (YAGI), which included collaborations with major acts such as Phyno, Davido, Patoranking, and Adekunle Gold. The album blended hip hop and rap, showcasing his lyrical ability and versatility.

After his YBNL contract expired in 2016, Lil Kesh launched his own label, YAGI Records, under the management of Massive Management. Since then, he has continued to deliver street anthems and chart-topping hits.

Lil Kesh remains a dynamic force in Nigerian hip hop and street-pop. From underground raps to national stardom, he has solidified his place with consistency and cultural influence.
