Early Life

Osa, born in 1992 in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, spent his early years in Ikpoba Hill with his family. From a young age, he immersed himself in music, collaborating closely with his childhood friends—Brusky, Diamo, Hawi Young, Sofaya, and Yazny. Together, they explored music creation during their teenage years, learning and experimenting with different sounds.

Later, Osa relocated to the United States, but his deep-rooted Nigerian heritage remained central to his identity. He also developed strong ties to South East London, where he refined his craft and embraced his multicultural background. Influenced by Afrobeats and the soulful rhythms of R&B, Osa began sharing his unique sound on SoundCloud, where his authenticity quickly drew global attention and a growing fanbase.

Encouraged by his family, Osa used his voice to connect with the world, steadily building a reputation as a boundary-pushing independent artist.

Career

Osa creates a compelling musical experience by blending smooth vocals, refined flow, and emotionally resonant lyrics. His sound bridges continents and speaks to diverse audiences, rooted in his goal to redefine the boundaries of contemporary music.

He gained his first breakthrough with his EP “Black Bird,” which has garnered over 500,000 streams on Spotify. Following that success, he released the music video for “Naija Boy,” which received over 100,000 views on YouTube within three weeks and continues to air on major TV channels and radio stations in Nigeria and the United States.

Reflecting on his journey, Osas recalled experimenting with multiple musical styles while growing up. He also remembered his school days, where he led the music section and played instruments during morning assemblies—an early indication of his musical leadership and talent.
