Early Life

Adekunle Temitope, known professionally as Small Doctor, was born on May 27, 1999, in Dopemu, Lagos State. He hails from Ondo State in Nigeria. From an early age, Small Doctor showed a strong passion for music.

He attended Orosan Nursery and Primary School in Lagos before moving on to Oniwaya Secondary School. His deep interest in music led him to leave the University of Lagos to pursue his musical career full-time.

Career

Small Doctor officially began his music career in 2015, releasing energetic singles such as “Gbagaun,” “Anobi,” “Penalty,” and “Mosquito Killer.” The song “Penalty” earned critical acclaim and won the “Best Street Hop” award at The Headies in 2018, cementing his place in the Nigerian music industry.

On July 27, 2015, Small Doctor released his debut studio album titled “Street Ambassador.” The album featured collaborations with prominent artists including Pasuma, Dre San, and Young Legxy.

He launched his first major tour, the “Omo Better Concert,” on December 9, 2018, performing at the 20,000-seat Agege Stadium in Lagos. Small Doctor also took his music international, performing at London’s O2 Academy Islington on September 9, 2018.

In April 2019, Winners Golden Bet named Small Doctor as their brand ambassador, recognizing his influence and growing popularity. He continues to thrive as a dynamic performer blending Fuji and Afro-pop sounds.
