Early Life
Minister Theophilus Sunday was born on May 9, 1987, in Dekina, Kogi State, Nigeria. He attended Ochaja Boys Secondary School and later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from Kogi State University, Anyigba. His deep spiritual sensitivity became evident from an early age, which later shaped his distinctive style of worship and ministry.
Career
Minister Theophilus leads the worship ministry 1Spirit, through which he delivers powerful spiritual chants and worship sessions focused on preparing believers for the second coming of Jesus Christ. As the convener of the True Worshippers Concert, he inspires deep encounters with God through his music and ministry.
He has released several spirit-filled tracks including Adua, Holy Fire, Heart Cry, Take Over, From Your Throne, and Father of Spirits. His songs often usher listeners into moments of intense worship, reflection, and surrender.
He shares a close spiritual relationship with Apostle Arome Osayi and frequently ministers alongside fellow gospel minister Abbey Ojomu. His commitment to intimacy with God through worship has made him a recognizable voice in Nigeria’s gospel landscape.
Theophilus is married to Ashley White, a Jamaican. Together, they continue to serve as a couple devoted to spiritual revival and gospel impact.
