Nigerian businessman Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, has publicly criticized streamer Carter Efe for destroying a car he recently gifted him.

The incident happened during a Saturday night livestream. Carter Efe and fellow content creator Peller damaged each other’s cars as part of a stunt. The act quickly went viral and sparked backlash online.

E-Money had presented the vehicle to Carter Efe less than 24 hours earlier. According to him, the gift was a show of appreciation for the streamer’s work. However, he expressed disappointment when the duo visited him the next day.

In a video from the meeting, E-Money said:

“To be honest, I wasn’t happy about you guys destroying the car I gifted Carter Efe in less than 24 hours. I gave you the car because I appreciate what you’re doing. You went overboard by destroying the car. You know, a lot of people were watching you.”

Although visibly upset, he chose to forgive the streamer. He added:

“However, the mistake has already been made. I forgive you. But it should not happen again.”

The stunt has since triggered debate within the entertainment industry. Controversial singer Portable also reacted in a viral video. He criticized the streamers and questioned their sense of responsibility.

“This shows why wealthy people should be careful who they help.”

Following the incident, reports indicate that E-Money unfollowed Carter Efe on Instagram. The move further signaled his dissatisfaction with how the generous gift was handled.

The controversy continues to generate conversations about content boundaries and accountability in Nigeria’s digital entertainment space.
