Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has officially rejected a ₦50 million proposal to participate in a celebrity boxing match against popular streamer and content creator Carter Efe. The artist stated that the initial offer was insufficient, issuing a counter-demand for a total package valued at ₦350 million before he would agree to enter the ring.

The situation originated during a recent livestream featuring Carter Efe and music executive Soso Soberekon. During the session, Soberekon placed a ₦50 million offer on the table for the bout to take place. Carter Efe accepted the terms immediately, urging the executive to finalize a date and venue for the match.

However, Portable dismissed the offer in a video broadcast, citing his previous experience in celebrity boxing as justification for a higher valuation. The singer demanded a combination of cash and a luxury asset to solidify the contract.

“Soso, ₦50 million is too little. Give me ₦50 million plus a car worth ₦300 million, totaling ₦350 million and I will beat Carter Efe mercilessly. I am the same guy who beat Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington,” Portable stated.

The singer’s demand for a ₦300 million vehicle alongside the ₦50 million cash prize brings his total requirement to ₦350 million. Portable expressed confidence in his physical superiority, referencing his past exhibition fights against actor Charles Okocha and rapper Speed Darlington to justify his stance.

The challenge comes at a time when Carter Efe has also been a subject of public discussion following an incident involving socialite E-Money, who reportedly expressed disapproval after the streamer allegedly damaged a gifted car during a stunt.

As of the time of this report, Soso Soberekon has not issued a formal response to Portable’s ₦350 million counter-offer or indicated whether the terms of the proposed boxing match will be renegotiated.
