Early Life
Bolatito Obisanya, professionally known as BMH (BURSTMYHEAD), was born on January 28, 1999, in Alapere, Ketu, Lagos State, Nigeria. A gifted record producer, composer, and sound engineer, BMH rose to prominence after producing CKay’s global hit “Emiliana”, which held the top spot on the UK Afrobeats Singles Chart for seven consecutive weeks.
Although, Growing up as the son of a pastor at The Redeemed Evangelical Ministry (TREM), BMH began his musical journey in the church choir.
He played drums and initially explored music as a rapper and songwriter before transitioning fully into music production. His stage name and producer tag, BURSTMYHEAD!, reflects his high-energy, boundary-pushing production style.
Career
BMH’s rise to fame began with co-producing “DTF” and “Felony” on CKay’s CKay the First EP, which peaked at #3 on the US Billboard World Albums Chart.
In December 2021, he returned to collaborate with CKay on “Emiliana,” a track that catapulted both of them to international recognition. BMH played a pivotal role as songwriter, producer, and mixing engineer.
In addition, He was also nominated by AFRIMA for Producer of the Year In 2022, and by August 2023, he also received a Diamond certification in France for his work on Emiliana.
He has also worked with Blaqbonez, Ayra Starr, Crayon, Mayorkun, WhoisAkin, ElGrande Toto, and featured on the EJOYÀ’23 project.
