Early Life
Sunday Ginikachukwu Nweke, professionally known as Masterkraft, is a Nigerian record producer, disc jockey, band director, pianist, and songwriter. Masterkraft hails from Enugu State but was born and raised in Ajegunle, Lagos State.
He attended United Christian Secondary School in Apapa and initially dreamt of becoming an accountant before pursuing his passion for music.
Career
He began his professional music career with Kennis Music and has worked with several prominent artists, including Flavour N’abania, Banky W., Timaya, Sound Sultan, M.I, Lynxxx, and J. Martins, among others.
Masterkraft is known for producing hit songs such as “Fine Lady” by Lynxxx (featuring Wizkid), “Kwarikwa (Remix)” by Flavour N’abania (featuring Fally Ipupa), “Girl” by Bracket (featuring Wizkid), “Chinny Baby” by Flavour N’abania, and “Jasi” by Banky W.
His work has earned him recognition within the Nigerian music industry. In 2014, Leadership newspaper ranked him 8th on its list of the Top 10 Music Producers in Nigeria.
He was also ranked 7th in 2015 by Nigeria Entertainment Today as one of Nigeria’s Top 7 Biggest Music Producers. Thisday newspaper also listed him among the Top 10 Music Producers in Nigeria.
Masterkraft’s journey, from his beginnings in Ajegunle to becoming one of Nigeria’s most respected producers, is a testament to his talent, dedication, and influence in shaping the sound of modern Nigerian music.
