Young Nollywood actress Adaeze Onuigbo continues to build on her already extensive filmography with a role in ‘Rewarding Tears,’ a new drama that pairs her with veteran actress Rita Edochie.
Onuigbo made her acting debut at just five years old in the 2013 film ‘Emotional Baby’ and has since appeared in more than thirty productions, working alongside established Nollywood names including Pete Edochie, Mercy Johnson, Ruth Kadiri, and Queen Nwokoye. Her filmography spans family dramas and emotional roles, including ‘Everything But a Child,’ ‘Tears of an Innocent Child,’ and ‘Laurie,’ the project that first brought her wider recognition.
Originally from Anambra State but raised in Asaba, Delta State, Onuigbo comes from an acting family; her mother, Oby Onuigbo, is also a Nollywood actress. She began performing at an early age and was recognised in 2010 with the SRTV Media Award for Most Famous Kid Actor, an early sign of the consistency she has shown across a decade-long career.
Beyond film, Onuigbo has built a large following on social media, where she shares dance content alongside updates on her acting projects. Her continued presence in new releases like ‘Rewarding Tears’ reflects her standing as one of the more established young names in Nollywood’s family-drama space, an ecosystem that has produced several of the industry’s most recognisable child and teen performers.
With ‘Rewarding Tears’ now available online, Onuigbo’s fans can expect her to keep building on a filmography that already spans more than a decade of consistent work.
