Nigerian rap star Jeriq has reaffirmed his growing dominance in the country’s hip-hop scene following the successful completion of his ‘Jeriq Hood Tour,’ which spanned four major locations across the South-South and South-East regions of Nigeria.

The tour kicked off in Abraka, Delta State, where the rapper performed to a packed venue with a 5,000-person capacity, setting the tone for what became a historic run. From there, Jeriq moved to Enugu, delivering a high-energy performance at Okpara Square to an estimated 45,000 fans, marking one of the largest hip-hop gatherings the city has seen in recent memory. For both the Abraka and Enugu legs, he shared the stage with fellow rap star Odumodublvck.

The tour continued to Onitsha, Anambra State, where 20,000 music lovers filled the Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium to witness what fans described as an electrifying display of raw lyricism and crowd-moving street anthems, before wrapping up its South-South and South-East run.

The tour’s scale underlines Jeriq’s rise from Enugu-born underground rapper to one of Nigeria’s most consistent indigenous hip-hop acts. Born Jeremiah Chukwuebuka Ani, he broke through with his 2020 EP ‘Hood Boy Dream,’ which led to his signing with KOD Music Group, before releasing his debut album ‘Billion Dollar Dream’ in 2022. The album earned a Headies nomination for Best Rap Album, with its Phyno collaboration ‘My Bro’ also picking up a Best Rap Song nomination.

With the Hood Tour now behind him and a steady run of 2026 singles including ‘Escape Plan’ and ‘Born to Be Great,’ Jeriq shows no signs of slowing down as he continues to cement his place among Nigeria’s leading indigenous rap acts.
