Grammy Award-winning artist Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has initiated legal action against a social media user over alleged defamatory statements made on X (formerly Twitter).

Through his legal representatives at Templars, the singer issued a formal notice on January 26, 2026, demanding the immediate removal and retraction of a viral post shared in December 2025. The tweet, posted by a user identified as Mirex Moses (@mirexmoses), reportedly made damaging claims about Burna Boy’s professional relationship with American music executive Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The legal team representing the singer, addressed the situation directly on social media, sharing a brief but pointed message alongside the legal documents.

“Just go hide.”

In the official letter, Templars described the post as defamatory and malicious, stating that it was intended to harm the artist’s reputation.

“We demand that the post be deleted and that Moses confirm the action via the email address provided in the letter.”

The legal team also warned that further steps would be taken if the user failed to comply within the set timeframe.

“Failure to do so would result in legal action and other lawful steps.”

According to the notice, the user has 48 hours to remove the post and issue a retraction. Burna Boy’s management has confirmed that they are actively monitoring the situation and will determine the next course of action once the deadline expires.

This development signals a firm stance from the Burna Boy camp against online misinformation and defamation, especially when it involves unverified claims that could damage professional relationships and public image.
