Nigerian rapper and actor Falz has opened up about why he has no interest in joining politics. Despite being known for speaking out on national issues, the entertainer says politics is not part of his plan.
In a recent interview while promoting his new project, “The Feast,” Falz made it clear that he has no desire to hold public office. He laughed off the idea and said, “Politics, ke? No, it’s a big no. What’s my business with politics?”
According to him, he doesn’t believe he has the personality needed to be a politician. He explained that political life requires certain traits that he simply does not have. In his words, “I can never become a politician. I don’t think I’d ever be able to because being a politician requires certain traits that I don’t possess—many of which are negative. Even some normal traits, like being patient and always being ‘on,’ I can’t do it.”

Although many people admire Falz for his activism, he made it clear that his actions come from care, not political ambition. He said, “Compassion—I just care, and I cannot witness everything happening around me without saying or doing something about it. It’s just how I’m built. Nobody is forcing me to act; it comes naturally.”
Falz has often used his platform to speak against injustice. He has addressed issues like police brutality, poor governance, and human rights violations.
As the son of respected lawyer and activist Femi Falana, some expected him to follow the same political path. But Falz says he prefers to make change in his own way—without entering politics.
