Big Brother Naija Season 10 took an emotional turn when housemate Imisi shared a deeply painful memory from her early years. During a reflective task that followed the Head of House challenge, housemates were encouraged to talk about life-changing experiences. Imisi bravely stepped forward to reveal one of the most difficult moments of her childhood.
While speaking with fellow housemates Koyin, Jason Jae, Sultana, and Mide, Imisi recalled being harmed at the age of 13. The traumatic event led to a pregnancy she was forced to terminate. After being sent away from home, she found temporary shelter with someone who later had to relocate her to a church when her presence was discovered.
At the church, she was placed in a dark storeroom and left there overnight. She recounted how that room became the scene of a repeated violation. These events left her emotionally scarred and triggered a lifelong fear of dark, enclosed spaces.
Now an adult, Imisi continues to grapple with the aftermath of those events. Her story visibly moved her fellow housemates and highlighted the often unspoken struggles many survivors carry into adulthood.
Imisi’s brave decision to share her story not only demonstrates immense personal strength but also helps spark critical conversations about abuse, trauma, and healing.
