Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo is speaking up once again in her fight for justice for the late singer Mohbad. In a heartfelt livestream with her fans, she appealed directly to music stars Wizkid and Tiwa Savage, calling on them to lend their voices to the ongoing struggle surrounding Mohbad’s mysterious death.
Iyabo stressed that the Nigerian music industry must protect its young talents from the same mistreatment that legends like Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade, and 2Baba allegedly suffered. “Wizkid and Tiwa Savage, I need you,” she said. “These young boys come from the slums and they were inspired by you.”

Iyabo Ojo emphasized that the new generation of artists is carrying Nigeria’s global image through music, and that their safety should be a national concern. According to her, allowing harmful individuals or groups to destroy their careers or lives is unacceptable. “We cannot allow anybody pull those children down because their music is what’s giving us joy,” she added.
Mohbad’s death, which shook the Nigerian entertainment scene two years ago, still remains unresolved. Despite claims that Naira Marley and Sam Larry were involved, a Lagos court recently dismissed a suit filed by Mohbad’s father due to lack of strong evidence.
While investigations drag on, Iyabo believes the power of influence from voices like Wizkid and Tiwa Savage could help reignite public attention and push for justice. The campaign for Mohbad is far from over, and Iyabo is determined not to let it fade.
