Early Life

Adunni Ade attended Chrisland Primary School in Lagos and obtained her Senior School Certificate at Bells Comprehensive Secondary School in Ota, Ogun State. Influenced by her father, a successful businessman, she studied accounting at the University of Kentucky. Before transitioning into entertainment, Adunni worked in the housing and insurance sectors in the United States.

Career

Adunni Ade ventured into modeling, featuring on America’s Next Top Model before returning to Nigeria to pursue acting. She made her Nollywood debut in the 2013 Yoruba-language film You or I. Adunni gained widespread attention for her comedy skit “Date Gone Bad” on YouTube in 2014, which earned over 170,000 views.

With more than 250 Nollywood film appearances in both English and Yoruba, Adunni’s influence has grown over the years. In 2021, she launched her film production company, Lou-Ellen Clara Company Limited, and produced SOÓLÈ, which became a major box office success. The film grossed over 51 million Naira and received an AMVCA nomination.

Adunni has also earned numerous accolades, including the Yoruba Award for Best Yoruba Actress at the Cool Wealth Awards and the Stella Award from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism. Additionally, she produced her first Yoruba movie in 2018, Emi Mi – My Soul, and another in the same year, Ewa – Beauty.

As a mother of two, Adunni continues to balance her acting career and film production while actively contributing to promoting Nigerian culture.
