Early Life
Ikechukwu Mitchel Ogbonna, popularly known as IK Ogbonna, was born on January 11, 1984. He completed his primary and secondary education in Lagos State, earning his First Leaving Certificate and West African Senior School Certificate. He pursued higher education at the University of Jos in Plateau State, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. Furthering his academic achievements, IK also earned a Doctorate Degree in Arts in Leadership and Development from the Institut Supérieur De Management et de Technologie (ISMT).
Career
IK Ogbonna began his entertainment journey as a model and took part in the Amstel Malta Box Office television show audition in 2005, where he was selected. His passion for the arts started early when he won the Milo Awards for Fine Arts during his secondary school years.
He also made his acting debut in 2013 with the movie Love Lorn and quickly gained recognition. He has acted in various films, including Playing Safe alongside notable Nollywood stars like Tonto Dikeh and Ini Edo. Beyond acting, IK serves as a judge on the De9jaspirit Talent Hunt show, showcasing his expertise and influence in the entertainment industry.
IK Ogbonna approaches relationships by building friendships first, admitting he doesn’t easily ask women out. He was once married to Sonia Morales, with whom he has a son named Ace Ogbonna. Additionally, he has a daughter, Makayla, from a previous relationship.
