Early Life
Okonkwo hails from Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria, and is the son of Ozioko Francis Okonkwo and Beatrice Okonkwo.Kenneth Okonkwo began his education with primary school and advanced to St. Theresa College for his initial higher education.
He then attended the University of Nigeria, where he earned degrees in Business Administration and Law (LLB). Continuing his academic pursuits, he obtained a master’s degree in international law and diplomacy from the same university. Additionally, he earned a Fellowship from the Chartered Institute of Economics. Beyond secular education, Okonkwo also studied theology at the Nigerian Bible School, where he received a certificate in Theology and trained as a Bible scholar and Minister of God.
Career
In 2013, Kenneth Okonkwo received a Special Recognition Award from the Africa Movie Academy Awards for his contributions as one of the pillars of Nollywood. Two years later, the City People Entertainment Awards honored him with a special recognition award for his impact on the growth of Nigeria’s entertainment industry. Okonkwo’s career spans acting, law, and politics, making him a respected figure in various fields.
Kenneth Okonkwo married Ogechi Ezekiel, daughter of Pastor Ezekiel, the General Overseer of Christian Pentecostal Mission International, in 2000. They had a son named Ifeanyi, but their marriage ended in divorce after two years. He later remarried Ifeoma, and together they have a son named Kenechukwu Isaac Chukwuchirimeze Okonkwo.
