Early Life
Mike Ezuruonye hails from Uzuakoli in Abia State, located in southeastern Nigeria. He was born in Lagos State in the southwest part of the country. For his education, he attended Federal Government College in Wukari, Taraba State, in northeastern Nigeria, and later Archbishop Aggey Memorial School in Lagos. He pursued higher education in accounting at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, Anambra State.
Career
Before venturing into acting, Mike worked as a banker. His acting career includes numerous Nollywood films, where he has gained recognition and respect. In 2009, he earned a nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards for his role in The Assassin. He also received a nomination at the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards for Best Actor.
Mike Ezuruonye married Nkechi Nnorom in 2010. They celebrated their traditional wedding in May 2010 in Abia State and held their white wedding in November of the same year at Folawiyo Bankole Methodist Church in Lagos. The wedding attracted many celebrities and dignitaries. The couple has two children. In interviews, Mike has spoken about his solid and comfortable family background. He also revealed that political parties have approached him to join politics, but he prefers to enter that arena only when he feels fully prepared.
