Early Life

Nosa Rex Okunzuwa, widely known as Nosa Rex or Baba Rex, was born in Benin City, Edo State. He pursued higher education at Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2009. Despite his academic background in engineering, his passion for entertainment led him to Nollywood soon after completing his national youth service.

Career

Nosa Rex began his acting career in 2010, debuting in the film Gazza Treasure, directed by Derek Osonwa. He quickly gained popularity for his engaging performances and later secured a recurring role as Terwase in the widely acclaimed TV series Jenifa’s Diary, created by Funke Akindele. His work spans a range of genres, from comedy to drama, solidifying his position as a household name in Nigerian film and television.

In addition to acting, Nosa Rex is a producer and entrepreneur. He is the CEO of the production company Big Things Development, through which he contributes to the growth of the Nigerian film industry. His ventures extend beyond entertainment he owns a clothing line, deals in automobiles, and actively supports his wife’s thriving food business.

In 2020, he also became a brand ambassador for the aphrodisiac product Mydsiac, reflecting his growing influence in the lifestyle and wellness space.

Nosa Rex married Deborah Raphael Nwokocha in August 2015. The couple has two children and continues to be celebrated both for their family values and public presence.
