Early Life
Peggy Ovire Enoho, popularly known as Peggy, hails from Ughelli in Delta State, Nigeria. Born and raised in Lagos as the youngest of six siblings, she had her early education at Itire Nursery and Primary School and later at AUD Secondary School in Surulere, Lagos. She initially studied at Delta State University, Abraka, but completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance at Ambrose Alli University.
Career
Peggy began her career as a model before transitioning into acting, a shift that marked the beginning of her success in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Her entry into Nollywood came through a film produced by Uche Nancy, which laid the foundation for her rise in film and television.
Her breakout role came with the TV series Husbands of Lagos, where she gained significant attention and public recognition, both in Nigeria and abroad. Known for her elegance and depth on screen, Peggy has since become one of the most admired actresses in Nollywood.
She starred in several productions, including Rising Sun alongside Ifeanyi Kalu, and has proven her versatility through both comedic and dramatic roles. As a film producer, she has worked on projects such as Ufuoma, Fool Me Once, and The Other Woman, showcasing her skills behind the camera.
In 2015, she received the City People Entertainment Award for Most Promising Actress (English), cementing her place as a rising force in Nollywood.
Peggy is married to fellow Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard, forming one of the industry’s most celebrated power couples.
