Early Life

Sharon Ifedi, popularly known as “Star Girl,” is a rising teen actress in Nollywood. Born on March 15, 2004, in Asaba, Delta State, she hails from Anambra State in southeastern Nigeria.

Growing up in Asaba, Sharon completed both her primary and secondary education there. After graduating in July 2022, she decided to follow her passion for the Arts, steering away from the Sciences. She chose to study Mass Communication at the university level, believing it aligned better with her creative ambitions.

Career

Sharon began acting at the age of eight, with strong encouragement from her mother. Her journey into Nollywood started with small roles, and her dedication soon led to major opportunities. Since then, she has featured in over 35 films, often portraying children and teenagers facing adversity.

Some of her standout performances include roles in Tears of a Slave Child, Little Madam of the House, Price of Wickedness, My Responsibility, Lost Princess, and Agony of the Girl Child. Sharon has worked with top Nollywood stars like Mercy Johnson, Zubby Michael, and Ngozi Ezeonu, gaining recognition for her emotional depth and delivery.

Her hard work has earned her several awards and nominations. In 2018, she won the Choice Outstanding Dramatist at the Nigerian Teen Choice Awards and received a nomination for Choice Entertainer of the Year. In 2019, she was nominated for the African Child Project Award.

Sharon Ifedi continues to grow her acting portfolio and has begun exploring music, showcasing her versatility. With unwavering family support and unmatched talent, she stands as a promising young force in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
