Shawn Faqua, born on June 6 1988, is a Nigerian actor, model, presenter, and activist known for his compelling performances across stage and screen. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt. Shawn transitioned into entertainment after obtaining a Certificate in Acting through a training initiative affiliated with the Center for Digital Imaging Arts.

Career

Shawn began his professional journey as a model for major Nigerian brands and fashion shows before shifting fully into acting. His breakout role came as Vincent in Lagos Cougars, which earned him four nominations across the African continent. He is also known for his performances in Code of Silence, Ojukokoro, Put a Ring on It, Red Card, and Out of the Ghetto. In Put a Ring on It, he portrayed two contrasting characters, showcasing his range and mastery of accents and character immersion.

Beyond film, Shawn has performed in numerous stage productions and is also a singer and choreographer. He recorded the soundtrack for The Good Life, highlighting his musical talent.

Shawn consistently chooses roles that reflect deep social issues such as love, politics, justice, cultural identity, and personal sacrifice. His detailed research and dedication to his craft reflect his passion for authentic storytelling.
