Early Life
Tana Adelana was born into a traditional Catholic royal family and is the youngest of ten children. She grew up in Lagos and attended Treasure Land Nursery and Primary School in Surulere, followed by St. Francis Catholic Secondary School in Idimu. She is originally from Nara Unateze in Nkanu East, Enugu State. Her father passed away in 2022, marking a significant moment in her personal life.
Tana studied Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Lagos, where she earned her B.Sc. She later pursued a diploma in Makeup and Style from a London-based makeup school in South Africa. To further enhance her leadership skills, she obtained a special executive masterโs certificate in Leadership and Management from the Metropolitan School of Business and Management, UK.
Career
Tana Adelana rose to fame in 2002 after she auditioned and became an on-air personality for the MTN YโHello TV Show. She made history as the first Nigerian presenter on Channel O. She began acting with the TV series Disclosure and launched her own production company, Tana Adelana Productions, in 2013. One of her notable projects is the film Quick Sand, which featured several top Nigerian actors.
She also won the Grind Awards in 2005. Tana hails from an Igbo royal family and proudly carries the family name, Egbo.
Tana is married to her longtime partner, Femi Adelana. The couple dated for 14 years before marrying in 2007. They have two children together. Tana is known for keeping her family life private and away from media attention.
