Early Life

Gbemi Anthonia Adefuye, better known as Toni Tones, is the youngest of five siblings. She completed her early education at Queen’s College in Lagos. At the age of 14, she began modeling for Dakova, a family friend. Toni Tones later pursued higher education at the University of Lancaster in the UK, where she studied marketing and economics. After completing her studies, she returned to Nigeria in 2009 to explore her passion for show business.

Career

Initially focusing on photography, Toni Tones gained recognition with her work, which led her to be featured in D’banjโ€™s reality show Koko Mansion. Over time, she transitioned into acting, appearing in the web TV series Gidi-culture and films like It’s Her Day (2016). Her breakout role came in 2018 when she portrayed the younger Eniola Salami in King of Boys, a role that earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 2020 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

In 2020, she was also part of the cast of Quam’s Money, a sequel to New Money (2018), where she starred alongside notable actors such as Falz, Jemima Osunde, and Nse Ikpe-Etim.
Toni Tones has carved out a notable presence in both the entertainment and photography industries, with her work continuing to earn acclaim, especially for her role in King of Boys.
